Near to home, country roads.
Last week I found out that I’m a winner in Womanswork.com’s gardening contest. I won a pair of gardening gloves and I have to say that it is just the right prize for this time of year. I only had to post my gardening resolutions for the year on their website. I want to thank them for such a fun contest and for helping get my gardening Re-solutions in the forefront of my thoughts.
They chose my entry because I said I want to plant a veggie I have never eaten before. Now, I begin to pour over seed catalogs to find out just what I’ll plant (using my new gloves, of course).

I like it, and I thank them!
We’re faced with about ten days of much-needed rain, which will try my sun-loving soul, but the earth is joyous in quenching its thirst with bountiful rainwater. I immerse myself in spring plant dreams, instead of raindrops, and dream of buds, butterflies, and beans.
Meanwhile, I regret my penchant for procrastination. I could have been gardening last week, thinning cruciferous plants, weeding the east raised beds, instead I just frittered away time (and I can’t get it back). Arghh! Time is a gift that I squander too often. Well, there’s certainly another resolution in that thought!
