Welcome to Ann Carranza Creations. I hope you find the site interesting, perhaps even thought provoking in places, as well as a place of peace through nature’s beauty.
Upbeat (usually) and effusive by nature, I am Positively Ann. My love of writing began in the fifth grade and my interest in photography commenced in high school, where I took photos for the high school yearbook as well as for our local newspaper, the Geyserville Press. I have written as a stringer for the Healdsburg Tribune, and they have published my photos as well.
From February 2010 until November 2010, I wrote for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat as the Healdsburg Community Blogger in Your Town (recently changed to Towns).
Then from November 2010, I wrote for Healdsburg Patch.
In March 2013, I returned as Healdsburg correspondent for Healdsburg Towns section of the Press Democrat.
My main photographic interest is nature (although you can find me behind the lens at most family functions). With my lens, I pursue things that creep, flutter, flit, and fly. Nature uplifts me, soothes my soul and offers me opportunities I never dreamed of (want to pet a dragonfly?).
My husband, Leonel, and I garden organically. Consuming the first vine-ripened, sun-warmed tomato of the season is always a life savor. I urge you to plant a garden, buy organic and local.
Mosey through my site, enjoy the photos, click the links, read the stories and poetry, and even drop me a line, (comments are always welcome). Check back often–you might find a smile.
Thank you for dropping by ~ remember life is meant to be savored.
